IFDS Community Involvement
Philanthropy is very important at IFDS. The organization is proud to sponsor several key charities
as well as encourage and support employees' time and energy in giving back to the community. IFDS is
a strong supporter of the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO) and the University Settlement
Recreation Centre as well as many other causes (see IFDS Supports). IFDS' community involvement committee,
iCARE, is focused on improving the quality of life of children and their families by investing in
programs that make a difference in our communities. IFDS is also a strong contributor to the United
Way of Greater Toronto, holding an annual fall campaign in which IFDS matches 50 per cent of
employee contributions.
We also promote associate volunteerism.
Our Day Off to Volunteer Program allows associates to
take one paid day off to volunteer at an approved charity. Our
Community Relations Policy
donates $1,000 to a registered charity where an associate has volunteered at least 175 hours in a
given year.
